In lieu of our usual Lunch & Learn, we’ll be hosting a Clothing Swap for America Recycles Day! Be sure to drop off your clothes before the beach cleanup to join the fun!

Why A Clothing Swap?

A clothing swap isn’t just about refreshing your closet, it’s about tackling one of the biggest hidden polluters: the fashion industry.

  • Clothing Waste Crisis: Americans throw away 11 million tons of textiles every year—most ending up in landfills where they can take decades to break down.

  • Overproduction Problem: Globally, we produce 100 billion garments a year, far more than we could ever wear. In fact, experts say that even if we stopped producing new clothes today, there would still be enough clothing on the planet to dress the next 5️⃣ generations.

• Environmental Footprint: The fashion industry is responsible for about 10% of global carbon emissions and massive water waste—making one cotton t-shirt can take 2,700 liters of water (enough for one person to drink for 2.5 years!).💧

Page 1 Guest Opinion .jpg

In my Guest Opinion in the Dana Point Times and San Clemente Times, I talk about how something as simple as a clothing swap can inspire us to share more, waste less, and spark bigger change in our community.

Bringing people together, whether it’s through local events or helping someone find their perfect home, is what truly lights me up. It’s all about building connections that last and creating spaces where everyone feels they belong. 🏡💙

Santa Paddle

Stand Up To Trash is putting the fun in fun(d) raiser!

Join us for a family fun Santa Paddle

Sunday December 21 at 9 am

Baby Beach Dana Point Harbor

Dress like a reindeer, snowman, elf, Santa or Mrs. Claus! 🎅🏽🧑🏻‍🎄🦌☃️💚❤️🚣‍♂️🎄

The Santa Paddle is a community fun event in which participants can bring their own equipment or Westwind Sailing has equipment for rent at a 20% discount ($20 instead of $25), donating $5.00 for every piece of equipment rented

Starting point is on the beach at Baby Beach where we’ll take a group photo on the water.

Then it’s a festive paddle around the island spreading the holiday cheer!

Safety first- please wear or have a life vest with you at all times.

Every year, the Santa Paddle reminds me why I love this community so much! Families, friends and neighbors all come together on the water to share joy, kindness and a little holiday sparkle.

Being part of that energy is one of my favorite traditions.

Bringing people together isn’t just something I do through Stand Up To Trash events; it’s also at the heart of how I serve as a realtor.

Whether it’s creating spaces where folks feel welcome, fostering connections, or helping someone find the place they’ll call home, community is always my compass.

That same spirit is what makes the Santa Paddle so special

and what guides me every day. 🎄🚣‍♀️❤️
